Monday morning, Issac Guerrero visited the studio to talk about his big moment and his educational plans after high school.

The event took place at San Diego's SDCCU Stadium during the artists OTRII Tour on Thursday night. Seventeen-year-old Issac cheered along with 19 other Club members and Club branch managers, unaware of what was in store for him.

"On the Run Tour II recognizes and rewards excellence," DJ Khaled announced at the start of the concert, "This student joined the Boys & Girls Club seven years ago and has been a mentor and Keystone Treasurer, Vice President and President. Tonight the On the Tour True Scholarship Award goes to Issac Guerrero!"

Issac has been a Club member for seven years at the William J. Oakes Branch in Logan Heights, the organization's oldest clubhouse built in 1941. Throughout his years, Issac has been involved with the arts, mentoring younger peers and volunteering in the community.

Isaac also raised funds to attend the National Keystone Conference in Atlanta, Georgia in 2015 and was the organization's Youth of the Year for 2016.

"He is committed to being a responsible citizen and leader in the Club," explained Branch Manager Ricardo Sandoval, "His actions speak louder than words. He's the epitome of what Boys & Girls Clubs stand for."

With this scholarship, Issac intends to combine passion for art and the community to create comic illustrations for literacy programs.
