The 2017/2018 application for free and reduced-price meals is now available online for families to complete. Families of students who attend Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and Provision 2 schools do not have to complete meal applications as all students receive free meals (View current list of CEP and Provision 2 schools). To learn if your family qualifies, please visit the district's Food and Nutrition Services website and begin the application process.
Paper applications are also available at the district's Food and Nutrition Services offices located at 6735 Gifford Way, 92111 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Applications may be turned in at the Food and Nutrition Services offices during summer. They can also be turned in to your school site once school resumes, however, families will be responsible for meal payment until the application is processed. The application is not retroactive.
Families may apply all year long for free and reduced-price meals. We encourage all families who think they may qualify to complete the application, as it could also mean additional LCFF Supplemental Grant funding for school sites and Title I ranking and funding. The deadline for LCFF and Title I sources of funding is Oct. 31.
