Pauline Burt goes above and beyond for the school and for the students of Bay Park Elementary. Whether Pauline is assisting at lunch duty, with buses, recess, or in the classroom, she consistently treats each child with respect while maintaining high expectations of all students in both academics and social areas.

Pauline cares for each child as though they were her own and motivates them to be the best they can be. Pauline often provides necessary items for students, such as shoes, school supplies and other items. She is rarely absent and often comes in to work an hour early so that she can do things like prepare the staff lounge before her "real" duties begin. School principal Leslie Barnes says that Pauline "is" Bay Park Elementary -- a team player who is always willing to go the extra mile with grace and enthusiasm.

San Diego Unified congratulates Pauline Burt and her family on her selection as 2014 Classified Employee of the Year.
