About Me

Born and raised  in San Diego county. To be more specific I grew up mainly in Alpine and moved to El Cajon in High School. I still live in El Cajon currently. There was no music program in Alpine when I was a kid so I started playing music when I was 17 years old on the Drum Set. I was mostly self taught using books and VHS/DVD videos. I started taking music classes at Grossmont College after High School but Started working full time as a machinist by 19. Fast Forward at 26 years old I was admitted to SDSU in 2011 as a Music Education Major. I graduated in 2015 with my BA in Music, in 2016 I received my Teaching Credential as started teaching in SDUSD in Fall 2016.

Mainly a Percussionist, this was the instrument I studied at SDSU, my teacher was Greg Cohen, currently the Principal Percussion of the San Diego Symphony. I can also play pretty much any instrument, but that doesn't mean I can play it well. Traditional band instruments as well as Rock Band instruments are my strongest areas of expertise. I also teach Orchestra, Guitar and Choir. I have been teaching music in SDUSD since 2016.
