When California voters passed Proposition 1D in November of 2006, $500,000,000 in funding was designated for the purpose of improving Career Technical Education (CTE) facilities. Specifically, the measure allows for eligible school districts to apply for funding of new construction, remodeling/reconfiguration and/or equipment for established and emerging CTE programs. Proposition S was passed by voters of the City of San Diego in November 2008 and provides 2.1 billion dollars in facility improvements and modernization for the schools of the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD).
