District Home

Ocean Beach

Dear OBE Families,

It was announced on July 13th that the district has made the difficult decision to start next school year fully online. Please click this (Link) to see the joint announcement by Los Angeles Unified and San Diego Unified and click this (Link) to read the full statement by Superintendent Marten.

The district will provide additional information on Aug. 10th regarding the possible timeline to physically reopen schools. The district is convening a panel of health care experts to ensure that health and safety for all students and staff is paramount. In addition, all sites are currently preparing for the day school reopens.

Understandably, this announcement brings up many questions and concerns about what next school year will look like. As I receive further information I will continue to send out updates to keep you as informed as possible. We have a remarkable school community that will stay strong and connected through this time.

Thank you and please do your best to stay safe.
