      <title>Food Safety Update</title>

			    &lt;img src="https://www.sandiegounified.org/UserFiles/Servers/Server_27732394/Image/Newscenter/2025_2026/Sandi%20Coast%20Cafe.jpg" /&gt;The FDA is investigating a multistate outbreak of Cyclospora illnesses linked to shredded iceberg lettuce from Mexico served by some restaurants and retailers in other states. San Diego Unified's produce supplier has confirmed that the shredded iceberg lettuce served in our schools is not sourced from Mexico, and there are no recalls affecting products served in our cafeterias. Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily discontinued our very limited use of shredded iceberg lettuce. Our salad bars will continue to feature romaine lettuce.
