School Update (12-03-2019)
Principal Olivero here with a School Update.
This week UC’s Drama Department proudly presents Streetcar Named Desire. It will run each night this week through Friday night. Each show starts at 7 pm. We encourage you to check out our young actors.
This Thursday night, December 5, 2019, we have a number of meetings for parents. The first will start at 5:30 PM, in the media center, where the “Here and Now” counseling team will be on hand to discuss teen depression and suicide. This week the counseling team met with all 11th graders and they will also be meeting with the 9th graders in April. After this meeting, the PTSA will be holding their General Association Meeting and it will start at 6:30 PM in the media center. Right after this Tim Garreston will be presenting “Beat the High Cost of College”. All are encouraged to attend these sessions being held in the media center Thursday night.
This Friday, December 6, 2019, students we receive their take home progress report cards for the second grading period. We ask that parents review it and don’t hesitate to contact their student’s teacher if they have any questions.
Last, next Tuesday, December 10, 2019, UC will host all incoming 8th graders from Standley Middle School. It will be an opportunity for next year’s incoming 9th graders to learn about what programs exist on campus and how best to get involved.
Have a great week. Mr. O.
