Get Involved and Stay Informed (06-05-2017)
Good evening, Principal Olivero here with your weekly school update.
This first part is again for our seniors and their parents. The PTSA has asked that I remind all (seniors and their parents) get on board and make sure their student is safe the night of graduation. Many UCHS parents have been working hard to organize the senior grad party that takes place in the gym the night of graduation. They have been doing so to provide our kids a safe place to celebrate their accomplishment and have one last hurrah with their school friends. It’s not too late so talk to your student about their plans for this evening/morning.
As a reminder, seniors going off to a 4-year college need to complete a final transcript request sent to their university or college. These can be found in the counseling office with the registrar.
The rest of the message is for students in 9th, 10th and 11th grades.
Students have one last chance to see their counselor if they are planning to change a class they want to take next year. Counselors will be outside in the quad to meet with students at lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Tomorrow, June 6th, The Centurion Foundation (CF) is hosting their annual Sports Screening Physical Event from 4:30-7:00pm in UCHS Activity Room. The cost will be $30. While students can go to their own doctor, the CF has organized an event to have all UCHS student athletes and future students complete their physical at UCHS. There will be doctors and nurses on hand to screen all student athletes. It’s somewhat of a one-stop-shop process for the day.
Have a great week. Mr. O.
