School Update (05-21-2019)

Get Involved and Stay Informed (05-21-2019)

Principal Olivero here with the weekly school update.

Posted on the school website under school news is a letter from the school district with regards to the water sampling for lead in the school’s water system.  Please see the letter as it shares the results from the testing and the planned meeting scheduled for next week to answer any questions.

As you know, the students defeated the staff in the annual basketball tipoff a few weeks back.  Tonight, the seniors again take on the staff in what’s called the Battle of the Brains. This event will be held in the media center at 7:00 pm. Love our seniors but we are seeking to even the score.

The next two school days will be block schedule days.  It will be a normal early starting time at 7:24 am tomorrow for all students and the bus pick up times will be early.

This Thursday night will be the annual Pops Concert at 7 pm in the auditorium.  This is my favorite performance of the year and look forward to hearing our young Cents perform to a Memorial Day theme.

Thursday will be out last school day for the week as students will be off Friday and Monday making for an extended Memorial Day weekend. We honor the men and women who died protecting our freedoms.

Last, please know Friday night will be our senior prom. It will be held at Hahn Center at the University of San Diego, from 8 pm to 12 am.

Have a great week.   Mr. O.
