Get Involved and Stay Informed (02-19-2019)

Principal Olivero here with you weekly call out.

For tonight’s call, I will start from the furthest day out event and work my way back to the most recent.

Tenth and eleventh grade students and parents need to be aware that on Thursday, February 28th, at 6pm, we will holding our 2019-2020 College Night meeting.  All students and their parents from these two grade levels who plan on taking a community college class next year need to attend this important meeting. We will go over how community college classes are different from our high school course offerings. All students will need a CSID number (community college ID number) and must complete a “Yellow” community college course request sheet to be eligible for a college course.

We are holding our community college meeting earlier this year in that we know they are changing their ID system and we want to make sure all of our students get put into the system before they switch over to their new system. The new system is more laborious and time consuming for students.  At the College Night meeting on the 28th, representatives from the community college will be there to explain their support system for students who have identified disabilities.

On Tuesday, February 26th, at 6:30 pm, we will be holding our Spring Coaches meeting in the auditorium.  This required meeting is for spring athletes and their parents to learn about district and CIF guidelines for athletic eligibility.

This Saturday night, February 23, 2019, we are scheduled to have our ASB Ball at Liberty Station in Point Loma. The last two days to buy tickets is tomorrow and Thursday.

Have a great week!   Mr. O.
