Summer Update for the Class of 2020 and Underclass Students (07-14-2020)
Good evening Centurion Families,
On Friday, July 17th, we plan to post the Class of 2020 graduation online. More details will be sent to senior students and parents about this later in the week.
Also on Friday, July 17th, we will hold a drive-through operation for two sets of students. At the outside door of the media center facing the student parking lot, we will collect from seniors their cap and gowns. At this location we will also be distributing diplomas to seniors who have not yet received them. Please know we do not want students and parents out of their cars. We will do collections and handouts along the parking lot curb. Please know before we can hand out diplomas to students, seniors near clear all debts for items owed to the school. A senior can check in advance whether they owe for an item by going to the school website and on the front page there is a link titled- Library: Know What You Owe. Our finance clerk will be available to take in checks to pay for items owed.
The second set of students will be for students in grades 9-11 that bought a yearbook and want to come pick them up. This drive-through will also be for students who were not able to turn in textbooks and need to do so. This drive-through location will be at the bottom of the ramp by the front of the school by the counseling office. We again do not want students and parents out of their cars. We will do yearbook distribution and textbooks collections from the driveway curb by the counseling office. Please make sure textbooks returned are in a bag with the student’s name put in the bag.
Both sets of drive-through will be from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Last names A-L will be served from 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm and last names M-Z will be served from 2:15 pm to 3:30 pm. Please come during these timeslots to avoid longer lines.
Last, I soon will be sending out a call out about the process we will use for fall registration. It will all be online as we will not be allowed to bring students on campus as we have done in years past.
Have a great day, Mr. O.
