grade 4 students will take the assessments for about 120 minutes on Wednesday, 2/20/2019. Please place the NAEP assessment date on your 2018–2019 school calendar. Approximately 50 students from your school will be selected to participate, but that number may vary depending on actual fall 2018 student enrollment. NAEP field staff will provide significant support to your school, bring all necessary materials and equipment, and administer the assessment. If you have a conflict with the scheduled assessment date, please contact me at julwilli@cde.ca.gov or (916) 319-0408 by July 1, 2018 and we will reschedule. I will send you more information about preparing for the assessment by early September 2018. NAEP provides a common measure of student achievement across the country and is used to inform education policies and practices. Schools and students have an important role in ensuring that NAEP results are accurate. Our goal is 100 percent participation in this important assessment, and we know that we can count on you to help us reach it. Julie K.
