Research shows that the more different ways we study, the more info we remember. Suggest that your teen find ways to sneak in studying throughout the day. Examples: Write vocabulary definitions on the bathroom mirror. Review a study guide at breakfast.

Family trivia night! Ask everyone a question like, “Who’s your hero?” They can print their answer on slips of paper and mix them together in a bowl. One person reads the answers while the others guess who wrote them. Then, ask a new question and play again.

Staying in touch with friends and family when you can’t visit in person can keep everyone’s spirits up. Suggest that your teen hold regular video chats to play games that all participants own, such as Yahtzee, Scattergories, or Battleship.
