Mr. Logue Room 45

Welcome to room 45!  We look forward to a year of learning and discovery.  We have added much to our curriculum, from internet based programs to hardback textbooks. There’s never been a better time to be a student here.  Last year’s class earned many rewards throughout the school year.  The best reward was improving as math students, readers and writers.  Now a few thoughts on learning.

We learn using our five senses.  Whenever and wherever possible, incorporate the five senses in our learning.  Moving around while learning helps students have fun, increases circulation and boosts concentration.  Keep moving while learning.

Working in groups helps us to support each other’s learning.  Part of learning this year will involve working in small groups and with partners.  (Some heterogeneous and some clustered by ability).  Throughout the year your student will have an opportunity to work with many different classmates.

Everyone can learn and improve, but it takes hard work. Motivation is key. We focus on what motivates your child. Effort counts. We have to roll up our sleeves, jump in and give our best. When we fail, we acknowledge the mistake, change course in our direction and try again. That's perseverence and perseverence gets results.
