The Class of 2015 Gears Up For Graduation

Alright Seniors, we are only one month away from June and you know what that means, GRADUATION! And with graduation looming on the horizon, comes some important announcements.

Graduation Singers Auditions - May 4th:
If you would like to sing the national anthem or alma mater at graduation you can audition for that on Monday, May 4th at lunch in room 411.

Graduation Speakers Auditions - May 6th:
If you would like to speak at this year's graduation, here is your chance! Graduation speaker tryouts are on Wednesday, May 6th at lunch in room 411. Speeches should be short and absolutely not longer than three minutes. Your speech must be in its final draft and you'll be required to leave a copy of it with the panel. Results will be announced on Friday.

Along with the student or students who are chosen to speak on May 6th, the Class of 2015 will be addressed by the Valedictorian, Brandon Tran, and three other student leaders who represent the diversity of our student population: Parker Hayward, Shakur Collins, and Lizeth Luna.

Staff Speaker:
What staff member do you want to speak at your graduation? Next week, ballots will be passed out to your English classes and you will have an opportunity to tell us which member of the staff you want to hear speak at your graduation.

In addition to our staff speaker, the Class of 2015 will receive an inspirational and non-secular message from Pastor Terry Brooks of Bayview Baptist. Pastor Brooks is an accomplished public speaker who will no doubt serve to inspire, touch, and motivate the Class of 2015, friends, and families.

Other students, staff, and district representatives helping to memorialize this most important day are as follows:

Pledge of Allegiance - ASB Vice President, Lauren Smalley
Presentation of the Class - Principal, Dr. Mays
Acceptance of the Class - Area 1 Superintendent, Dr. Wilson
Turning of the Tassels - Senior Class President, Skyler Bauman
