March 22, 2015
Greetings Q Nation,
What an exciting week! I had the chance to honor some incredible young people this week
First, a luncheon was held for the "City League Champion" Girls Basketball Team. I want to thank Coach Corey Wright for a job well done.
I then met with the "Brass" from NJROTC, these students are leading a beautification program on the campus. The cadets are encouraging all students to throw are way their trash during lunch. They patrol the campus in uniform on Wednesdays'. In addition, they continue gently asking for cooperation on their civilian off days.
Finally, I had the chance to honor the girls "CIF Division 3 Soccer Team". I want to thank their Coach Brad Gomez for a great season!
I love working for the "Greatest High School in the Universe".

Serra Business Students Receive Funding From Investors!
Earlier this month, 33 business students from Q-Nation participated in the Junior Achievement Quick Pitch at Point Loma Nazarene University. Five companies pitched their ideas and all five received funding from investors. It was a proud day for Serra competing against Clairemont, Canyon Crest Academy, San Dieguito, Westview and High Tech High for funding and advice. All the students did an amazing job and showed great confidence as they explained their business ideas and presented the data they have collected and assimilated over the past 4 weeks. Each business is still trying to raise additional capital by selling $5.00 shares in their company.
