This was a super week for our students, faculty and staff! We came back from the break with more energy and focus. I want to thank our faculty for their great efforts during P2. Students will be issued their 12 week progress reports on Friday, December 11th. Therefore, I believe that all students and families should understand the new (2016) graduation policy. It is important for everyone to remember students can't graduate with a GPA lower than a 2.0.
In addition, students can't have a final grade of "D" on their transcript if they wish to attend a CSU or UC school. This year, CSU's have established a new policy in regards to math. Beginning this year, all seniors must have a math higher than Intermediate Algebra 2/Integrated Math III as their senior math class. This year's seniors will be grandfathered in, but this will be important information for the graduating class of 2017. If you have any questions, please consult your child's counselor as soon as possible.
Every student must meet San Diego Unified School District Graduation Requirements to receive a high school diploma from Serra High School.
