Scripps Ranch High School is located in Scripps Ranch, a northern suburb of San Diego, and is one of the top traditional high schools in the region.
Our school has been recognized as a California Distinguished School, a National Blue Ribbon School, a Gold Ribbon School, and regularly appears in the U.S. News and World Report’s America’s Best Schools rankings. It has received a six-year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Our students are part of a unique dual-enrollment program with nearby Miramar College. Students take classes at our campus that are taught by College professors. When our students successfully complete the courses, they receive college credit — before they have graduated from high school.
Faculty and administration provide a challenging learning environment and consistently utilize current research and student data to improve programs and work toward student achievement.
Our mission is to prepare students for their future, including college, military commitments, and/or careers. SRHS provides an environment that supports quality instructional programs driven by continuous improvement and innovation.
Students enjoy challenging academic standards, as well as a full slate of what makes a traditional high school the best choice for young adults, including a highly competitive interscholastic athletic program; music, drama, arts and language; career-technical education; JROTC; community public service and internships.
Students from two local middle schools (Wangenheim and Marshall) via five local elementary schools (Dingeman, Ellen Browning Scripps, Hage, Jerabek, and Miramar Ranch) attend Scripps Ranch High School. In addition, students from 40 elementary schools attend through the district’s School Choice program, adding diversity to an already integrated school population.
The 32-acre campus is situated just east of Interstate 15 and north of the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The Mira Mesa/Scripps Ranch area is a close-knit, involved community that places great value on strong academic standards.
