Friends' Cafe is just one way you can help Friends of SCPA, a nonprofit 501c3 organization, raise funds in support of SD SCPA and the programs it provides for it's students. FAQS ABOUT FRIENDS' CAFE
1. What is Friends' Cafe?
Friends' Cafe is our refreshment and concession stand. It is our way of saying "Welcome." Friends' Cafe will be open 1 hour before each even including intermission for events held in the Grand Theater only.
2. Who is the Friends' Cafe coordinator?
Tina Blake is our parent volunteer coordinator. Please visit SignupGenius.com to volunteer and sign up directly for a shift.
3. What does Friends' Cafe sell?
In addition to light snacks and refreshments, Friends' Café will sell "Stargrams" and single stem roses at each performance. What is a "Stargram"? A fancy note card accompanied by a small piece of candy carrying a personal note hand delivered back stage during intermission. We also sell single stem roses lovingly wrapped in cellophane with a note card. Family and friends can now wish cast members good luck, congratulations or "see you after the show"! Just another memorable way to show support for our SD SCPA students.
4. Where do the proceeds from Friends' Cafe go?
All proceeds from Friends Café benefit academic and arts programs at SD SCPA.
5. Is Box Tops Redemption returning to Friends' Cafe?
To further promote the community giving program Box Tops For Education, Friends' Café will accept 15 Box Tops in exchange for a drink or snack. Be sure to keep an eye out for those pink squares while grocery shopping!
