The Middle Years Program Community Project:
1) Encourages students to explore their right and responsibility to implement service as action in the community.
2) Gives students an opportunity to develop awareness of needs in various communities and address those needs through completing a service learning project.
3) Engages in a sustained, in-depth inquiry leading to service as action in the community.
4) May be completed individually or by groups of a maximum of three students.
The student will document his or her process as well as complete and present their final product during Community Project exhibitions. Their process journal will document the following steps in realizing and reflecting and evaluating their project.
