Good Evening Perry Families,
We hope that you are enjoying your long weekend honoring our Presidents!
Primetime Extended Day Program will be holding a meeting on Thursday, February 22nd to explain the 2018-2019 Primetime application process and deadline. This will be in the Perry auditorium at 5:00pm. This will also be a time to give feedback on the program and ask questions. P email the site director, Kenneth Copp at: Perry@arc-experience.com for more information.
We will be hosting “Family Friday” this coming Friday!. We would love to see all of our students’ families here to support our students. This will start at 8:45am and go till 9:40am. Families will need to check in at the parent connection room, room 3, where they will be welcomed and given a visitor’s badge. This event will last until 9:40am. Light refreshments will be provided by New York Life insurance. Please plan on joining us for this event on Friday, February 23. For additional questions please call the school office.
If you are planning to attend a field trip with your child you must have your volunteer paperwork completed in the front office. Sorry there are no exceptions to this rule.
Please help us on Mondays by volunteering to help Coach De Perro in PE classes. Perry is one of the few schools where students receive this extra PE time, but it is a lot of students for our two PE coaches to manage. If you can give up any part of your day on Monday please email Coach De Perro at: firstname.lastname@example.org. The students and the staff greatly appreciate the extra help and it is a great way to exercise!
Military Club Kids will be starting soon. If you are in the military and would like to have your child be part of this please contact Meg Gammie at: email@example.com.
Volunteers are needed daily to help with lunch supervision. If you have completed your volunteer packet and would like to help any day of the week please come between the hours of 12:00pm and 2:00pm. For more information please email our lead noon duty supervisor at: firstname.lastname@example.org
A word from MFLC/Military Family Life Counselor:
Hi Perry Foxes!
Fleet and Family Support Center is looking to put on Military Kids Club (MKC) at Perry Elementary. MKC is an eight week program for elementary students. The goal is to help military children with the stress and challenges of military life and to build self-esteem. All of the activities are geared toward self-esteem, deployment, making new friends, what is special about being in a military family and homecoming. Through the use of stories, art, and other projects the children will build resiliency and feel positive about being a military child. If interested please fill out the form to return to Military Family Life Counselor located in room ten!
Also, as a reminder we have the possibility to have Dads Corps come to Perry which is a FREE program designed to support fathers to succeed as Partners, Parents, and Providers. This is a program that gives Mom the night off and provides dinner and homework time for Dads and children. Please email Ms. Meg Gammie at email listed below if interested. You do not have to be a member of the military to be part of this program.
If interested please email email@example.com.
