 with Astronomy Club
How high can you soar at Perkins School? Well, the sky is the limit.

We have an after-school Astronomy Club that lets kids conduct really cool experiments and even work with world-renowned scientists at places like MIT, which is what the world's premiere engineering and technology university is called, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Our club will meet every Wednesday after school in the teacher lounge or school auditorium.  Students will learn:
1. How to read latitude and longitude on planet Earth.
2. How to identify major features on the moon.
3. How to identify 15 major constellations by November.
4. How to distinguish between a planet and a star.
5. How to use a telescope and a star finder program.
6. Attend a meteor shower party in the mountains.

The only things required are enthusiasm, motivation, and a desire to have fun learning.
