After arriving in April as PBE's lucky new principal, I noticed that our physical environment did not match the excellent learning that was found inside of our classrooms. Through a community-wide effort, classrooms were decluttered, hallways painted, expired buildings removed, and a new Maker Space/Science Lab brought in to help realize our school's new mission and vision. 82 parents, teachers and community volunteers assisted in giving PBE the TLC it so desperately needed. New murals were painted, doors were sanded and revitalized, and floors were scrubbed clean. Furthermore, our teachers received a teacher's lounge, which they had not had for years. I want to especially thank parents Becca Horowitz, Amanda Marzion, and Kerri Stichka-Meyers for their attention to detail, genorosity, and countless volunteer hours. Thank you to all who had a hand in making our school shine as bright as the beautiful children whom we serve.
