The San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) has made the decision to close all schools effective Monday, March 16th in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Visit the SDUSD COVID-19 Information Page for most updated information.
Prior to our return to school, scheduled for Monday, April 6th, the PBE campus will be sanitized by our custodial team. On Monday, March 16th, the SDUSD website will be updated with resources which your family might access to support your child’s continued learning while at home. This work is extracurricular. It is NOT required and your child’s teacher will not be grading it. A colleague of mine shared the article linked here as a tool to use when thinking about how you might structure your child’s day when he or she is home with you.
Due to the school closure and SDUSD moratorium on large group gatherings until April 24th, we have canceled the following events. When school resumes, working in conjunction with FOPBE leadership, we will re-evaluate the recommendations regarding group assemblies and discuss the possibility of re-scheduling events.

SDUSD will be coordinating “drive up” feeding stations which are similar to our summer feeding program at the following schools: Monroe Clark, Cherokee Point, Sherman, Zamorano, Farb, Kearny and O’Farrell. A “grab and go” meal will be provided at these locations between 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Additional information is available on the SDUSD website.
