Welcome Parents, Guardians and Families
Research shows that the more parents are involved in their child’s education, the higher level of success that student can achieve. Parent engagement is essential, and with it, your child can soar.
What’s the best way to get involved? Our schools welcome you to pitch in, often with seemingly small tasks that can have far-reaching results. Contact your child's teacher, sign-up for email updates through FOPBSS, volunteer in the library or garden, attend our Math and Science Night, help support an after school club or the band, and stop by the school office to see what help is needed.
You can join a school committee such as our parent-teacher organization (FOPBSS), ELAC (English Learner Advisory Committee), PB area schools Cluster, or School Site Council (SSC). You can make an impact by joining any one of the district’s many advisory committees and councils, and help shape policy on everything from legislation to athletics.
Our school is committed to involving student families and the community through partnerships with organizations, community collaboratives and local businesses. "It takes a village..." so involvement in service and action at every level in the educational process -- from our classrooms, to company boardrooms, to our adopted beach, to family living rooms - is what we believe in and value for our children and our planet.
