Principal’s Coffee: This Friday, we are hosting the 1st Principal’s Coffee of the year in the Media Center from 8:00-9:00 am. The topics for this meeting include introductions of key staff members, ways to volunteer and generating topics for future meetings. We hope to see you there.

Student Drop Off and Pick Up: Thank you parents for using patience when dropping of your children. There is improvement in the mornings, however, it could still get better. As our students say while in the lunch lines, “No cutting”. Wait in the line to and from the drop off zone. When cars “cut” in and out of the line, accidents can occur. It only takes a few extra minutes to demonstrate patience to our children who will be driving in a few years. At pick up, again, pull forward in the loading zone. If it takes a while for your child to get to the car, consider parking to the left when you enter the lot. You will be closer to the exit. The video can be found on the school website and in the email of this message. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GZmUmKx4oI&t=42s

New menu app, YumYummi: We encourage you to download the new YumYummi menu app so you are aware of what is on the school menu including nutrition and allergen information. This is a great tool for parents and students! YumYummi is available in the App Store and Google Play Store as well as online at sdusd.yumyummi.com.

Digital Citizenship: Our students are faced with many challenges when on-line for such long periods of time - and not always making the best decisions. Be sure to monitor your child’s activity. For tips, check out commonsensemedia.org.

Homework: Parents, did you submit the application for a free/reduced lunch yet? We are at-risk of losing out on Title I funding so be sure to fill out the free/reduced lunch meal application even if you think your family will not qualify. I am expecting a 100% return rate. Here is a link to the on-line application: https://www.sandiegounified.org/food-nutrition-services Thank you for your help with this matter.
