ANNOUNCEMENTS

Textbook Return: All textbooks must be turned in by the end of the school year. To expedite this process, students are expected to bring ALL of their books to school on Monday, June 5. Students will return their books during science classes.

Awards: Students will be recognized this Tuesday for academic achievement, citizenship, and community service. Most invitations went home last week but a few will go home on Monday. I apologize for the delay. We hope you can join us to celebrate the success of your child. The 8th grade ceremony is in the evening at MBHS. The other assemblies are at PBMS. Please remember that parking is extremely limited so come early.

Summer Science Program: The excellent Sally Ride Science Junior Academy will be held at Mission Bay High School this summer from June 26 - July 21.  The classes are half-day for one week. Your child can sign up for just 1 or up to 8. Visit www.sallyridescieice.com for more information. Our students may qualify for free tuition.  The scholarship application link is https://ucsdextension.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6mpu1liO2xaJkI5 and needs to be completed by June 7.

8th Grade Promotion: The 8th grade Promotion Ceremony is on Wednesday, June 14 from 8:30-9:30am at the MBHS stadium. Students are expected to come to PBMS that morning by 7:25. We will transport students by bus to the high school. A packet of information went home last week including permission slips. Please be sure to sign and return the forms for your child to participate in the end-of-year activities.

Continuous Improvement: If you have questions or concerns, please call or e-mail the school. The teacher is usually the best place to start. If issues are not resolved at the school, you can contact the Office of Quality Assurance at 619-725-7211.
