Normal Heights Elementary is nestled in a peaceful pocket of Normal Heights in the city of San Diego. Our campus is a twenty-first century state-of-the-art facility. The majority of our caring staff have been part of our school family since the school opened in September 2006.
Home of the hawks, this beautiful campus features a stunning artistic design and lushly landscaped grounds which include an outdoor eating pavilion, upper and lower grade playgrounds, play structures, basketball courts, wall ball, a climbing wall, tether ball courts and a variety of blacktop games.
Beyond general curriculum, Normal Heights Elementary believes in access to a wide variety of supplemental enrichment partnerships which provide our students with opportunities through various organizations. Partners like Ocean Discovery Institute, the Rainforest Art Project, Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA), and local businesses, broadens knowledge and supports general curriculum. Permanent installations of our student projects can be viewed while strolling campus.
We are proud to provide abundant technology opportunities, inclusive of in-room smart boards and computers for each student. Our fantastic library is home to over 22,0000 books and a credentialed librarian. Students visit their library weekly with their class. Not only are students given the opportunity to check out books every week, but family members are also able to register and enjoy books at home.
We believe in student safety and make an effort to monitor access to the school by limiting entry to the front office. We ensure that all our students are supervised at all times by providing personnel before, during and after school. We offer Prime Time services for any family in need of before or after school care.
For additional information about our school, please check out the website, come for a visit and take a tour, or call our main office. We look forward to meeting you.
