Hello! My name is Katie Little and I am a DHH teacher here at CPMA. Below are some fun facts about me!
Education: I received my Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics (emphasis in ASL) from the University of Georgia. Following that I got my Masters Degree in Deaf Education from Valdosta State University. Finally, I got my Education Specialist degree in SPED from the University of West Georgia. I am currently in my 5th year of teaching DHH students and LOVING it! My first year I taught pre-school (ages 3-5) and for the last 4 years have been teaching at the middle school level (grades 6-8).
Living: I was born and raised in Athens, Ga and lived there until moving to San Diego in August of 2016.
Hobbies: I love to travel as much as possible, read, cook, watch movies, spend time with family (especially my two nephews), and of course teach!
This year: I have the pleasure of teaching THREE science classes! Science is my favorite subject to teach! I also have one math class and one literacy support class. I am very passionate about DHH students and how to best meet their unique and individual needs
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to teach your children! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions during the year!
