Holzman, Pam

Mrs. Holzman first appeared on-stage singing and dancing at age four and continued performing for many years in community and church theaters. She discovered multi-media arts along the way in life and has dabbled in many forms of arts and crafts from pottery to basketweaving, drawing to paper engineering, photography to sewing. She says “You who attend CPMA are so fortunate to have this opportunity to experience so many forms of art and discover your passion early. Believe in what fascinates you, in what makes you feel happy, and be the best YOU. You are different from everyone else, even though you may share interests and passions, you are still unique with a certain something only you can bring alive.” One of the pleasant surprises she discovered in coming to CPMA is the DHH program. While no longer fluent in ASL, she relishes the opportunities to practice signing with colleagues and students.

Having spent the majority of her life in San Diego, Mrs. Holzman still enjoys playing tourist and discovering new places around the county. Hobbies beside the arts include snorkeling, geocaching, archery, genealogy, and reading. She sits on several advisory boards, one of which is her sister’s feral cat rescue organization, Hawaii Cat Foundation (http://www.hicat.org), giving her double excuses to visit the islands. She and her husband have two adult daughters, four grandchildren, and two dogs. She graduated from SDSU, and has earned professional certificates and credentials from UCR and UCSD.
