Welcome Parents, Guardians and Families
Welcome CPJMA families and guardians! Our parent volunteers are the people who make a great impact in the lives of their children, as well as our school community. Teaming up together with our parents help us prepare today’s students to take charge of America’s future.
Research shows that the more parents get involved in their child’s education, a higher level of success is achieved by students. Parent engagement is potent as rocket fuel, and with it, there’s no telling how high your child can soar.
What’s the best way to get involved? Talk to your child's teacher, contact the school office at 858-273-9830, or stop on by to see what you can do to help. There are many volunteer opportunities that can be done on-site or at home for working families. In addition, CPJMA’s parent volunteer Nancy Lemarroy, has brought the district’s Parent Outreach and Engagement Department, which offers programs and resources on ways to help your child academically.
CPJMA welcomes you to pitch in with small tasks that can have far-reaching results. You can join our PTO (Parent and Teacher Organization), ELAC (English Learner Advisory Committee), or SSC (School Site Council). You can chaperone field trips, help during our PTO family events, read in the classroom, tutoring, and so much more. You can make an impact by joining any one of the district’s many advisory committees and councils, and help shape policy on everything from legislation to athletics. Make a difference, get involved!
