Music Concert Information

Grading Rubric
  • Check in-5 points
  • Concert participation- 90 points
  • Check out- 5 points  
Concert Attire 
  • White dress shirt or blouse, black dress pants or skirt, black socks, black shoes.
  • Santa Hats are optional. Please dress nicely, thank you. 
Cello players
Cello players need to bring a donut or a belt to secure your instrument on the slippery tile floor in the auditorium. 
 
Behavior Expectations
Students will be expected to be on their best behavior at all times. Students should not leave a mess in the band room, auditorium, or anywhere else in the school. Students should either be in the band room or auditorium. Students should not be playing around on the blacktop or anywhere else. Behavior at the concert will be taken into account for citizenship grades. 
 
Donations
In order to keep our music program thriving, optional donations will be accepted. Proceeds will be used for music field trips, coaches and new music for next semester. Thank you for supporting our music students. 
 
Food
There will be food for sale inside the auditorium throughout the concert. Please consider purchasing food at any time during the concert. The proceeds will go towards our music program. With the proceeds from this, I would like to use it toward music field trips, coaches and new music for next semester. Thank you for supporting our music students.   
 
Band Student Procedure (6​​th​​ grade band and 7​​th​​-8​​th​​ grade band)
  1. 5:30 pm  -  Check in at the band room (NOT the auditorium). There will be a sheet with the roster for each class.
  2. 5:45 pm-6:00 pm  -  Tune instrument with Mr. Rouillard in the band room
  3. 6:00 pm  -  Walk over to auditorium- NO cases, bags, etc. Only bring instrument and music.
  4. 6:30 pm-7:15 pm  -  Play in the concert.
  5. 7:15 pm  -  Walk back to band room. Pack up instrument and sign out. You may leave once you are signed out. 
 Orchestra Student Procedure (6​​th​​ grade orchestra and 7​​th​​-8​​th​​ grade orchestra)
  1. 6:30 pm  -  Check in at the band room (NOT the auditorium). There will be a sheet with the roster for each class.
  2. 6:45 pm-7:00 pm  - Tune instrument with Mr. Rouillard in the band room
  3. 7:00 pm  -  Walk over to auditorium- NO cases, bags, etc. Only bring instrument and music. Enter on the Southwest entrance. Quietly sit in the back and watch the last several minutes of the band concert. Once the band concert is over, head over to your seat in the front.
  4. 7:30 pm-8:15 pm  -  Play in the concert.
  5. 8:15 pm  -  Walk back to band room. Take one music stand with you back to the band room. Pack up instrument and sign out. You may leave once you are signed out.
