The Band and Orchestra students are having their ‘Grand Winter Concert Extraordinaire’ Thursday, Dec 14th in the Muirlands Auditorium.
- At 6:30pm, the 6th and 7th-period Strings performance will begin.
- And at approximately 7:30pm, the 6th and 7th-period bands will perform.
- A few Small Ensembles will also perform on stage between the two performances.
Both String groups should arrive between 5:30 and 5:45. We will meet in the band room to get set up and tuned. You should then proceed quietly to the auditorium to be seated, also please remember to bring your music folder and your book. Please leave your cases in the classroom.
Cello players will need a donut or a belt to secure your instrument on the slippery tile floor in the auditorium.
Both Bands should meet in the band room between 6:00 and 6:15 to get your instruments set up. You should then proceed quietly to the auditorium to be seated on the side of the auditorium so you can watch the strings perform; also please remember to bring your music folder and your book.
Please leave your cases in the classroom.
Concert Dress: white shirt or blouse, black pants or skirt, and dark shoes, Santa Hats are optional. Please dress nicely.
The music students are excited and have worked hard to prepare for this performance. So bring the whole family to hear the wonderful winter sounds of your Young Musicians.
All instrumental music students are expected to attend the concert.
Each concert should last approximately 45 minutes.
I would like to thank all of the parents, teachers and the administrators, for supporting your students in their musical endeavors.
