Transcripts

Please note:  UC’s and CSU’s generally only require FINAL TRANSCRIPTS, it is not necessary to send initial or midyear transcripts to those colleges.  Colleges using the COMMON APP, will generally ask for MIDYEAR, and FINAL transcripts.   In addition when applying to colleges via COMMON APP, letters of recommendation are required.  Please talk to your counselor as soon as possible for the letters of recommendation, be prepared with a BRAG SHEET.

Requesting Transcripts with Naviance

Transcripts need to be requested through Naviance 15 days prior to the college application deadline (~July 15th). If after July 15th email Ktalmadge@sandi.net

How do I request my transcripts to be sent to MYSELF via Naviance?

  • From your Naviance homepage, click on “Colleges” on the upper right hand side of the page
  • Scroll down and on the left hand side is an “APPLY TO COLLEGES” section click “COLLEGES I’m applying to”
  • Click on red and white “+” on the right hand side.
  • Using “Which college are you applying to?” search DOCUFIDE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (NOT A REAL COLLEGE).
  • There is no reason to change “APP TYPE”.
  • Click “Add Application and Send Transcript”.
  • Your transcript will be sent to the email on file in Naviance. 

How do I request my transcripts to be sent to a college through Naviance?

  • From your Naviance homepage, click on “Colleges” on the upper right hand side of the page
  • Scroll down and on the left hand side is an “APPLY TO COLLEGES” section click “COLLEGES I’m applying to”
  • Click on red and white “+” on the right hand side.
  • Using “Which college are you applying to?” search your college
  • There is no reason to change “APP TYPE” unless you are using early decision.
  • Click “ Add Application” or “Add Application and Send Transcript”.

If you have already added your colleges:

  • On the top right hand side of the homepage click “COLLEGES” and then “Colleges I’m Applying to”
  • “Request Transcripts”
  • Select “transcripts to be sent”
  • Choose “Where are you sending your transcripts”.
  • Select your colleges
  • Request and Finish 

If you are clicking “ADD APPLICATION & SEND TRANSCRIPT”

  • Choose “What type of transcript you are requesting”
    • Select Initial or Final (Final Transcripts are only requested AFTER your Senior Year)
    • We do not include SAT or ACT scores on transcripts
  • Click “REQUEST AND FINISH”

How can I check the status of my transcript request?

  • From your Naviance homepage, click on “Colleges” on the upper right hand side of the page.
  • Click “Colleges Home”
  • Scroll down and on the left side under “APPLY TO COLLEGES” select “Manage transcripts”
  • From here you will see all of the requested transcripts and their status along with a confirmation number.  

If I put in one transcript request at the beginning of the year, will my updated transcripts be automatically sent out?

No, your transcripts are sent per request.  When you first apply to colleges, an initial transcript will be sent (per your request), showing your grades and GPA through the end of your junior year.  If you need your senior year, 1st semester grades and GPA sent to your colleges, you will need to submit another request at the end of the 1st semester.  

FOR YOUR FINAL TRANSCRIPTS:

You must fill out the FINAL TRANSCRIPT REQUEST form to have your final transcript sent.   If you have not completed the FINAL TRANSCRIPT REQUEST form, your final transcript will NOT be sent.  Please ensure that you have the correct address for your colleges/ university.  If you have completed a college/university course you must contact that college/university and have them send their official transcripts.  Morse does not send transcripts from Mesa College, San Diego City College, and/or UCSD Extension.
