San Diego Unified School District invites you to participate in a Design Task Force for the Site Modernization and New Buildings Phase II project at Morse High School. You will join the architect and other key stakeholders to discuss the general design of the school, and how the proposed site improvements can best serve the students and the community for years to come.
Please join us for the 2nd Design Task Force meeting:
When: Thursday, April 20, at 6 p.m.
Where: Morse Library/Media Center
The Site Modernization and New Buildings Phase II project will provide Morse High School with modernization of a portion of remaining existing spaces not addressed as part of the Site Modernization Phase I project, which starts later this year. Phase I includes classroom interior upgrades and the remodel of the existing gymnasium building and locker rooms. The Phase II project includes new buildings such as a new performing arts center and new administration building. Proposed site improvements also include upgrades to the campus quad, vehicular entry, student drop-off, and the front parking lot.
These capital improvements are funded by the district’s Propositions S and Z bond measures approved by voters in 2008 and 2012, respectively.
Involving parents, neighbors, community members, students and school staff is key to the success of facilities modernization and student achievement at SDUSD. We look forward to your participation.
