Week of January 28, 2019

Dear Montgomery Families,

Moved by the heartbreaking stories of government workers, our Speech and Language Pathologist, Brittany Maples responded by running a food drive at Montgomery. Ms. Maples donated a pizza party to the fourth period class who collected the most items. This weekend she delivered over 300 items of non-perishable food to TSA agents. IMG_6098.JPG Ms. Maples is an example of kindness and compassion; traits we focus on nurturing in our students. Thank you to our parents, staff and students who contributed to the food drive. #MontyPride

Congratulations to eighth graders Jordan, Anthony, Owen and Meive whose banner designs were selected by the University of San Diego! We will soon see their creative art on the lamp posts around Linda Vista highlighting the beauty and uniqueness of our community.

Thank you to all of the families who attend the Bridges to Our Future Conference held at Montgomery this past Saturday. A special thank you to our parent volunteers and Montgomery staff who worked behind the scenes to plan for the event.

Today marks the first day of the second semester. Last Monday, I held grade level assemblies reminding students about what it takes to be on track for promotion. A copy of the slide deck can be found here. First semester report cards will be mailed home in the first week of February. Please take the time to review your child’s report card and ensure they are on-track for promotion.
