Prototype Design Winners - Pepper Canyon Transit Station
Student team members Owen Getz, Jade Muckler, Robert Huffstutler, Alex Branch, Alexis Vergnet, and Nyla Hekier earned a first place prize for building a prototype solution for the new transit station at UCSD campus.Congratulate them when you see them!
Gracie Semmens - Gymnast represents Mission Bay!
Gracie competed in the Varsity Optionals level. She placed in all four events (Vault 3rd, Bars 3rd, Beam 4th, and Floor 6th), and took 3rd place All Around. Go Mission Bay!
Chinese Bridge Competition
Mission Bay High was honored to host the Chinese Bridge Competition in March. Christopher Santy, Nora Dunphy, and Jade Someda participated in the Chinese Bridge Competition. They all showed their advanced level of Chinese. Please congratulate them!
Congratulations to our Science Olympiad Team!
The entire team did really well and this year, the team won 4 ribbons!
39th ANNUAL MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., DAY OF SERVICE
UC San Diego and Mission Bay High school paired together for a day of community service at MBHS on Sunday January 20, 2019. In honor of Dr. King, volunteers worked together building gardens, improving classrooms, and creating spaces that better the academic experience of MBHS students. Student Artists Recognize Alcott Librarian
MBHS student artists recognize Alcott Elementary librarian, Susan Natividad and her 30 years of service. Students worked on 6 book covers of popular children's books. The acrylic on hardboard pieces will be displayed in the Alcott elementary library. Mission Bay artists are Rayleen Marquez (Dog Man), Kelsey Amann (Pete the Cat), Rachel Guevara (Caps for Sale), Jayden Pick and Jeryn Young (Frog and Toad), Maya Satterberg (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), and Shanti Topzand (Flat Stanley).
