Counselors are available for students on a drop-in basis before school, at lunch, and after school. If a student would like to make an appointment with a counselor during class time, they may do so through the “Request to See Counselor Forms” located on the front counter in the Counseling Office. Parents may make an appointment to see their student's counselor by contacting the counselor by phone or email. We would prefer that your student attend the appointment with you; however, we realize there may be times when you want to meet with us privately.
The classroom teacher should always be your primary point of contact at MMHS with regard to your student's grade.
A student struggling to understand concepts should check with their teachers to see when they offer tutoring. The teacher is the main person who sees the student engaged in the subject matter on a daily basis. Teachers are adept at the areas a student should concentrate on to improve performance in the class.
Teachers' voice mail extensions and email addresses can be found by on the school website Teacher tab or by calling the school's phone operator at 858-566-2262 during school hours. Teachers are also available through email and are often able to respond to you more efficiently this way.
Additionally, families have access to assignments, test scores, grade and attendance information online through PowerSchool. We recommend you check PowerSchool regularly. For PowerSchool support, please contact Ms. Lemmon at email@example.com.
