Testing for Grades 3-5
Beginning May 17th, 3rd through 5th graders at Miller Elementary will start their State Testing. Please click on the icon to see the schedule. It is critical that students not miss these days and get a good night's sleep the night before.
Muffins with the Military
Come enjoy a cup of coffee, a muffin, and some good company on Wednesday, May 24, 7:15 - 7:45 in the teacher's lounge.
Western Barbecue
Come celebrate with your student and enjoy a Western Barbecue. Come enjoy BBQ burgers and dogs on May 23rd beginning at 10:45. Please click on the icon to get more information on pricing for parents and the time for each class.
Military Appreciation Day
The Military Appreciation Assembly will be on May 25th at 7:50 am. Come out and salute our Military families and those who are serving our country.
Water Testing
SDUSD and the City of San Diego will be testing all schools and their water quality. Click on the icon for more information.
Kindergarten Registration, May 1 - June 14
If you have a child who will be turning 5 years of age on or before September 2, 2017 and you live within Miller Elementary School boundaries, we invite you to enroll your child in Kindergarten for the 2017-18 school year.
Healthy Food Awareness
In a push to create a healthy lifestyle for our students we are requesting that you not bring in cupcakes, pizza, cookies, candy, etc to celebrate your child's birthday with their class. For healthy alternatives click the icon for more information.
Gaylord Hansen Donates Shoes for all Miller students
The Gaylord-Hansen Shoe Foundation holds one New Shoe Event annually. On October 7th, 2016, the Gaylord-Hansen Mortgage Team, with the support of the real estate community, bought brand new shoes for more than 700 students at Miller Elementary. Every student will receive a new pair of shoes, two pairs of socks, an event t-shirt, and a BBQ lunch! Thank you to Gaylord Hansen for filling our buckets!
Miller designated as a "No Place for Hate" school
The Anti-Defamation League has designated Miller as a "No Place for Hate" school for the fourth year.
Miller Elementary Celebrates Art and Literacy
Over 550 people visited Miller Elementary to celebrate student art and Literacy. Families did art projects, participated in an Art Walk, picked up a free book, and had a free spaghetti dinner. Thank you to the PTA, FACES, and our team of teachers.
