Hello Marvin Families,
I want to introduce myself. I was born in Pennsylvania and lived there 26 years before deciding to move across country to sunny San Diego. I received by bachelor's degree in Elementary Education/Special Education with a concentration in Mentally and Physically handicapped from Kuztown University in Pennsylvania. I taught 3 years in a Special Education classroom in Pennsylvania.
After moving to San Diego in 2006, I started my Special Education career with San Diego Unified School District. I have now been teaching with the district for 13 years. I received my Level II credential and Masters Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Autism from San Diego State University.
I am very excited for another wonderful year at Marvin. I want to share my expertise and experience with my students and team, but also learn and work as a team from all of the experienced teachers here at this school.
My husband and I have 2 young boys, Vejas (Vey-yes) and Leukas. We enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, playing sports, going to the beach, the Zoo and Sea World, and most of all being around friends and family.
