District Home

Hello Marston parents, just letting you know about an amazing program we have on campus. San Diego Unified School District's PrimeTime extended day program is a free before and after school program brought to you by YMCA Mission Valley. We involve children in academic and enriching activities including tutoring, Learning Upgrade, arts and crafts, sports leagues, field trips, and life skill training. If this free program sounds like something you are interested in, please come to room 124 before or after school or call 858-548-9124 so we can get your child involved as soon as possible.

Attendance Policies and Procedures

Before School Program Policy;  Students participating in the before school program must be signed in by a parent/guardian, with the exception of those students who normally walk or ride the bus to school.  Students are expected to attend the program ever day for the full range hours offered except when arriving late in accordance with the Before School Late Arrival Policy.  Students who do not attend the before school program daily, for a minimum of 50% of program hours each day, may be subject to disenrollment.  Priority is giving to those students who attend  program daily

Before school program late arrival is permissible for reasons such as:

  •     Parallel Program (such as tutoring, sports, etxc)
  •     Family emergencies/Family Obligations
  •     Medical Appointments/ Emergencies
  •     Transportation
  •     Weather Conditions

These reasons are excusable, however, funding may be in jeopardy since attendance is still non-compliant if student arrives after the 50% cut off point, 7:50am.  Any student arriving after 7:50am will be marked as non-compliant and attendance will not count for that session.

After-School Program

It is the parent/guardian responsibility to notify the program leader if their child will be absent.  If the child is scheduled to attend and does not report to the program, the program staff will make every effort to verify the absence with the school staff and/or contact the parent guardian.

Students participating in the after school program must be signed out by a parent/guardian or authorized adult, with the exception of those students who normally walk or ride the bus home. Students are expected to attend the program every day for the full range of hours offered except when leaving early in accordance with the After School Early Release Policy. All students attending the after school program must have a completed After School Early Release Form on file.

A child may be released early from PrimeTime after school program prior to the end of the program time for reasons such as

  •    Parallel Program (such as tutoring, sports, etxc)
  •    Family emergencies/Family Obligations
  •    Medical Appointments/ Emergencies
  •    Transportation
  •     Weather Conditions
