Congrats to our 6th grade Chelsea King Mile runners

Last Friday, Marston Middle School was well represented by eight 6th graders at the Chelsea King Invitational Mile Run held at Lindbergh Schweitzer Elementary. All of our runners were impressive and ran new personal best times. Marley Scott, Marston's top finisher, ran a new personal record of 6:59! Please congratulate all of these athletes who gave their all to make Marston proud. (Their previous best mile run time is in parentheses.)
Marley Scott 6:59.3  (8:03)
Ciara Wicks 7:01.0  (7:33)
Lily Nelson 7:04.4  (8:04)
Annika Harper 7:05.0  (7:55)
Gisele Fritz 7:07.8  (7:45)
Grace Crabtree 7:12.2  (7:51)
Bailee Nickel 7:20.5  (8:02)
Carter Grovhoug, our lone male runner, was on pace for his best time when he slipped on a patch of dirt on the blacktop and went down hard. Being the amazing competitor that he is, he got up and even though in pain, he still managed to finish the mile run in 7:14 (6:37).
Thank you to those amazing Marston Mariners who made this possible by helping to organize the paperwork and permission slips  or  holding down the fort while I was away. Elke Berke, Alfredo Tinoco, Trisha Otterman, Joanna Schonian, Barbara Toombs, Beth Bowers, Pam Winters, Charlene Walker and Alex Nguyen you all rock!
