8th Grade Promotion Ceremony Notes
Thank you for attending the 8th grade promotion ceremony! It has been a pleasure to work with your children this year and we are honored to have the opportunity to celebrate with you!
The promotion ceremony is on Wednesday, June 14th at 9:30 a.m. at the Clairemont High School Football Stadium. The rehearsal is in the morning on Monday, June 12th.
Please help by honoring these expectations on June 14th:
Please carpool and park at Clairemont High School. The lot at the corner of Ute Drive and Waco Street will be used by another school who is using Marston for their promotion ceremony.
Students must arrive to school on time and report to advisory on time.
Students should dress nicely, similar to 8th Grade Exhibition. School dress code violations, such as low cut tops or short skirts, are prohibited and will result in exclusion from the ceremony. Because the ceremony is on artificial turf, heels are strongly discouraged as they pose a safety risk. Flats and wedges are encouraged.
Parents may leave with their children upon conclusion of the ceremony. Students not leaving with parents will return to school after the ceremony and will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. (6/14 is a minimum day)
Balloons are not permitted in the stadium as they obstruct the view of others. Balloons should be left in vehicles.
Noisemakers are not permitted as they deny parents the opportunity to hear the speakers and the names of promoting students.
Leave Clairemont High School cleaner upon exit than it was upon entry
