Lieutenant Colonel Keith D. Lochner USA (Ret) Senior Army Instructor has been teaching JROTC since 2011- graduated from Valley High School (Las Vegas) in 1982; earned his Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1987 and then earned his Masters in Organizational Management with a specialization in Leadership and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ashford University. Lt. Col Lochner was commissioned a Second Lieutenant In June 1986 from the UNLV Senior ROTC program. Lt. Col. Lochner entered service in 1987 as an armor officer and has served in a variety of positions to include three company commands, battalion and brigade operations officer, squadron executive officer, battalion logistics and personnel officer, battalion command of a combined arms tank battalion, Director of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security, Director of Personnel and Resource Management, and Deputy Commander for an Army installation. Lt. Col. Lochner's final assignment was as the Chief of Staff for a Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Lt. Col. Lochner retired from Active Duty in January 2011 after serving 24 years in our nations armed forces. Lt. Col. Lochner is a certified Army Instructor and has taught battalion and brigade command post personnel in staff functions for both the US. Army, US Marines, and the following foreign armies: Japan, Germany, Ukraine, and India.  Lt.Col. Lochner is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, Army Doctrine Instructor Course, Small Group Instructor Course, Total Army Instructor Course,the Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Level II-III course and  certified as an NASP Archery Instructor.  He is a BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR instructor. He has served extensively in disaster support operations such as the LA Riots, the Northridge Earthquake, and Katrina to name a few. Lt. Col Lochner has worked in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Lt. Col Lochner is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, University Nevada Las Vegas Alumni Assoc, Armor Officer's Association, A Knight of the Order of Saint George, and a Distinguished Member of the 185th Armor Regiment Association
