Students Receive Free Breakfast and Lunch

All students receive a free breakfast and lunch daily at no charge through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision. However, students who want to qualify for an AP, SAT, or ACT fee waiver must have a lunch application on file and qualify for the Federal free/reduced meal program.

The free meal program is part of the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act called Community Eligibility Provision which allows all students to eat nutritious meals at no charge. As a parent/guardian, that means you can avoid the morning rush to make breakfast at home or pack a lunch, and rest assured knowing that your child(ren) will have access to nutritious meals. The school café offers a wide variety of fresh, healthy and delicious options that are sure to please every student.  Each meal is nutritionally balanced, and each student will have access to farm fresh fruits and vegetables every day.  For a complete listing of all menu items as well as nutrition and allergen information, check out our YumYummi mobile menu app – available on Apple and Android – and also on the website at http://sdusd.yumyummi.com
