Hello! I am excited to have the opportunity to introduce myself as Madison High School’s new principal.
I grew up in San Bernardino County, California – Fontana to be exact. After a short time at UC San Diego, I found myself working full time and raising a family. While working full time in clerical for Fontana Unified School district and recognizing my passion for working with students, I returned to school and received my Bachelor’s degree in English from National University. I received my Master’s degree in instruction from Azusa Pacific University and my Administrative Credential from Cal State Dominguez Hills. I was a high school English teacher, a K-12 instructional coach, and a program coordinator for a combined thirteen years before entering administration. This is my fifth year as a high school administrator, and I am so fortunate to call Madison my home.
My husband and I have raised two children, both currently enrolled in college. My husband accepted a job offer in the San Diego area over the summer and after careful consideration, we decided we would write a new chapter here in San Diego. Everyone in San Diego Unified and Madison High School has made me feel I have belonged here from the start.
I look forward to getting to know our students, our parents, our staff and the Madison community.
I am fortunate that I get to wake up every day and follow my passion, working with our youth – your children and the staff who have the opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child every day.
