Mesa's First Year Experience (FYE) program was created to help recently graduated high school seniors make a successful transition to college life. FYE provides help with applying, early registration, and all the academic support needed to succeed in the first year college and beyond with help every step of the way. There are five madatory steps which begin on Saturday, April 15 by attending Mesa's Cash Into College event.
STEP 1 APPLY and TEST - Deadline | June 5, 2017
• Fill out the admissions application online at http://studentweb.sdccd.edu and click on “Application for Admission”.
• Complete the Online Orientation and once completed, print the completion certificate at http://mesa.studentpathway.com/mesa/. Write FYE on your orientation completion certificate.
• Take your English and Math assessment tests at Mesa College (if required). Testing is done on a walk-in basis, please plan at least 2 hours to complete both tests. You will need your orientation completion certificate and a picture ID. The Testing Office is located on the second floor of the I400 building in room I4-201, they can be reached at 619-388-2718.
STEP 2 April 15, 2017 | 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Attend the Mesa College Cash In on Community College financial aid event.*
STEP 3 June 12, 2017 - Starting on June 12 you can sign up for your FYE Registration workshop by calling the Counseling Office at 619-388-2672. Sign up early to ensure you receive a spot in your preferred workshop. Workshops will be held June 21-27.
