All African-American seniors (Class of 2018) in San Diego Unified School District are invited to attend the 2018 African American-Achievement Summit on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. The purpose of the Summit is to create a sense of belonging and community for African American students who are transitioning to post-secondary life. Students will leave the event with concrete connections to the resources available for navigating the friction points and opportunities associated with health and human services, workforce preparation, and post-secondary planning for college and career. Support providers will leave with a better understanding of the opportunities available for developing successful supports within their systems.
In order to ensure the success of this event ALL African American seniors must complete the event’s Student Survey by Wednesday, April 20, 2018. This pre-survey is designed to help the planning team personalize the experience for each student.
