Principal's Letter to Lincoln Family

Dear Lincoln Family,

Lincoln Families welcome back! I trust each of you have had an enjoyable, memorable, and relaxing summer vacation filled with time with friends and family. I hope summer break has afforded you the opportunity to spend quality time with your families, and you are ready for another great year at Lincoln High School. Ready to take advantage of all the opportunities that we have created for your students’ academic growth. Lincoln High School mission is to create a school community that inspires and supports academic excellence and exceptional character. There is no greater calling, and I find it inspiring to engage in such work alongside each of you, as you support us this academic year.

This level of success does not just happen, but does so in a diverse, inclusive, and equitable school community, committed to academic excellence and integrity, where we provide instruction in a compassionate, safe and vigorous learning environment, meeting the specific needs of ALL students, in collaboration with our families and the community. As demonstrated here, when we expect great things of ourselves and each other, then provide the needed guidance and support and great things happen. With your support, I know that we are making Lincoln High School such a remarkable school!

I am excited to have welcomed back all students to school, in particularly our 9th graders who have joined our school and know they will add greatly to our culture and legacy of excellence. I look forward to seeing you all throughout this year as we continue our work at The Hive! Our time is now! One Lincoln. One Voice!

Very respectfully,

Jose E. Sotoramos
