Enrollment for Students New to La Jolla Public Schools

Please contact the office at 858 454-3081 xtn: 2203 for an appointment to enroll a new student. 

Please print the enrollment forms below and fill out all forms completely and bring to your appointment.

*Please note, that if your student is new to the District, please go back to Enroll a Student New to the District.

*New Immunization Laws as of January 1, 2016. No Shots = No School.

Please bring the following documents to your appointment 

The following for domestic student, out of district or out of state:

  • Proof of residency; San Diego Gas and Electric Bill or lease agreement.
  • Birth Certificate or passport
  • Immunization record with a booster T-dap (whooping cough given after the age of 7)
  • Official transcript of grades from grade 7 through the present
  • Previous School's Profile

The following is for foreign students:

  • Proof of residency, which is an unpaid San Diego Gas and Electric. (you may bring you rental agreement to begin and then bring the first bill when it arrives)
  • Birth Certificate or passport
  • Immunization records with a booster of T-dap given after the age of 7 (new state law) (it’s a booster for Whooping Cough)
  • A letter from your school explaining about the school system and the explanation of courses and the grading system used. (What is the highest and what is failing and everything in between)
  • Official sealed transcript of grades for the past three year, which for your student would be grades 7 through present (We don’t require you get an Apostille seal, but it must be sealed and signed from a school official.)
  • Since most European countries teach Science, Math, and Social Studies integrated, I will need, how many times each course was taught each week. For example, Math, 4 times a week, Physical Education 2 times a week.
  • Very important to know students placement in math.
  • What courses student would be enrolled if continuing in home country.
  • What age student started school.
  • For example, age 6 first grade; how many years he would be enrolled before the university level.

It is recommended to go to the district’s website to make sure the home address is attached to La Jolla High School. Go to: www.sandi.net/schoolfinder . Enter the address and it will tell you what school the address is attached.
